Our school has been approached by members of the RNIB who wish to learn a foreign language to prepare for a group trip abroad. It was the first time we received a special enquiry to teach clients living with sight loss, and it was surely food for thought.

Due to our special teaching method we have been able to adapt to the needs of partially sighted and blind people as our method concentrates on conversation and speaking practice. We were happy to welcome the RNIB at our school for Spanish lessons without books or any other traditional teaching aids such as pictures or white boards. The lessons are based on speaking only and range from simple listen-and-repeat exercises to more conversational classes as more progress is achieved.

Our teacher has been impressed by the progress the group has made since they started and we are pleased to be able to support visually impaired people and others with special requirements.
